Gin Sour/Fizz/Silver Fizz

No matter the variation — the classic Sour, the effervescent Fizz, or the velvety Silver Gin Fizz — each offers its own elegant expression of harmony. And what better companion for that than the Tarot’s Justice card?

When I first discovered the world of classic cocktails (or perhaps it discovered me), this trio of gin-based beauties stood out.
Start with the foundation: gin, lemon, simple syrup — crisp and direct.
Add a splash of seltzer and it becomes a Gin Fizz — lively, refreshing, a little sparkle.
Introduce egg white, give it a few more vigorous shakes, and you’ve got the Silver Gin Fizz — smooth, airy, and indulgent.

Same core. Same spirit. Three distinct interpretations. After discovering this revelation I dove down the craft cocktail rabbit hole and was never the same.

Justice 🍋⚖️✨Libra

Ruled by Venus, the Justice card invites us to pause, look around, and take honest stock.
How have our choices shaped the world we are standing in?
And more importantly — knowing that what you do, who you are has ripple effects across many valleys, high and low what decisions allow you to be more of who you are and want to be.

Justice isn’t just about truth. It’s about the awareness that truth brings. From that grounded place, we can navigate the tightrope of life hopefully with a feeling of less wobbles and one that feels more aligned, more fair, more real. To do that we have to constantly recalibrate towards center or the concept of center. I don't think one can ever hold the same sense of balance at all times as there are to many variables outside of us intervening. Everything would have to stop all motion for this to work....maybe. However we do have the ability to continually calculate how and where our proverbial scales need adjusting.

In the same way we balance a cocktail...or in this case with the Silver Gin Fizz? Let’s play with the specs.
Too much lemon? It’s all sour.
Too much simple syrup? Cloyingly sweet.
Too much egg white? Oh, you’ll know.

Each of these ingredients, on their own or in imbalance, leans hard into one note. But when they’re brought together with care — shaken with intention, balanced in proportion, and softened through the melting of the ice — they transform. That’s when the palate magic happens.

Justice, finding more balance, creating a fair playing feild isn’t just one note of harmony it isn't the absence of challenge. It’s not a conflict-free zone. To me, that’s not harmony.
Harmony happens through contrast — through trial, taste, and thoughtful adjustment. We connect not in perfection, but in our willingness to engage, to refine, to recalibrate. It’s in those moments of clarity — when something is “too much” or “not enough” — that we learn how to make things right.

So, can you give yourself a check in as you sip your libation:
What in your life feels just right?
What feels unjust, unequal, or off-balance?

And what subtle — or not-so-subtle — shifts can you make to your personal cocktail of life to bring it closer to something that feels truly fair and right… for you and for those around you?

Because in the end, we’re all included in the ingredients of life (how cheezy was that 😉) .
And when we come together collaborate and connect through our contrasts, that’s when the alchemy can happen — the kind that feels more balanced, more intentional, and worth showing up for.💛🌙🦋
